What is it?
A casual 3D isometric adventure about the wistfulness of a forgotten memory. Two children sit atop a hill watching the clouds and playing pretend.
One acts as a dungeon master to the other's adventure as it takes shape in the clouds above them. As the hero searches for a route out of the dungeon, they discover a fractured environment that reflects a forgotten memory. The only way forward is to piece this memory together and make it whole again.
It doesn't take itself too seriously
Familiar feelings in an unfamiliar setting
The character is driven by nostaliga
It's a laid-back and explorative experience
We discover a fractured memory
It has ridiculous and irreverant humor

Beta Milestone
November 2023
This was our (very) rough proof of concept. Through playtesting we realized that our original mechanic wasn't working as well as we'd hoped. Based on feedback, we made a large pivot that reworked our mechanic, map, and overall goal.
Our alpha milestone went significantly better -- getting to feature completion. However, we ran into troubles with usability largely related to the lack of clarity on the controls.
The beta milestone got us to sequence completion and offered better tutorialization. We completed the dark abyss sequence but playtesting revealed it to be too big and confusing -- drawing away from the sense of emptiness we wanted.
